About the project
Drake Music are a charity organisation that believe everyone has the right to express themselves creatively through music.
Drake Music use technology and ideas to open up access to music for everyone and their vision is a world where disabled and non-disabled musicians work together as equals.
I worked with Abigail and the team at Drake to create a website for the Drake Music Collective, a group of five talented young artists. The website is an exhibition space for the artist’s biographies and their commissioned performances.
The design of the website takes its inspiration from the artist’s twin passions of music and nature. To make that link I merged a sound wave and a mountain range into the design and gave it a noisy, retro feel complete with tactile mixing desk style buttons.
I also developed a custom theme switcher so that people can choose to view the site in three different colour schemes.
