About this project

Glossopdale Foodbank is a local charity who provide emergency food for individuals and families in financial crisis.

Working with the Foodbank’s co-ordinator Charlotte I created a new logo and brand identity for the charity. The logo which is based around a shopping basket contains a hidden G and the bottom half of it becomes an upwards arrow to signify hope and positivity. I paired the new logo with a simple bright colour palette and the friendly Harmonia Sans typeface.

With the charity working to a tight budget we went for an illustrative approach for the website rather than using potentially expensive stock photography. I created a bank of simple but charming illustrations based around a family and also some supporting icons. The Foodbank team can use these illustrations across the website, their social media channels and on their printed promotional material.

“In every aspect of the website development, John has been helpful, friendly, collaborative and approachable. He answered questions promptly and nothing was too much trouble. It has been an absolute pleasure working with him.”
