Marple Vision Team

Positive branding for a Stockport Council led initiative to improve Marple as a shopping and leisure destination.

Marple Vision Team are a group comprising local traders, community organisations and councillors. Their aim is to improve Marple town centre’s standing as a shopping and leisure destination.

The branding I created for the team takes its inspiration from the bridges and arches found in the local canal network. It creates a strong link to the village as well as giving a sense of structure, stability and support. The reflection under the bridge forms a V for vision and a spring like colour palette gives the branding a positive and optimistic feel.

To accompany the logo I created a range of supporting icons for the team to use in posters and in social media posts. Based on Marple village life they include bunting, flowers and canal paraphernalia.
